MIDLOTHIAN -- The VSGA and the MAPGA are developing a “GOLFER” specialty license plate in conjunction with the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles. Before moving to the General Assembly for formal approval, the two organizations must collect 350 pre-paid applications so golfers across the commonwealth can proudly display their love for the game.
 Monies raised by this program will go to support junior golf and scholarships in the commonwealth. Please support this effort by completing the DMV application. The cost of a “Virginia Golfer” plate is $25. Personalized and vanity plates are an additional $10.

License plate artwork is subject to change/approval by the DMV. Once approved by the General Assembly in the spring of 2011, the plates will go into production through the DMV. The plates will not be in your hand until fall of 2011. If the General Assembly does not approve this plate, your application fee will be promptly refunded.
