VSGA member clubs interested in a Rules of Golf presentation at their club are encouraged to contact the VSGA. VSGA-MAPGA Rules of Golf presentations are conducted annually throughout the commonwealth by VSGA and national rules officials, providing in-depth study for a nominal fee. A short rules program for club functions is also offered. Additionally, experts are available to answer rules disputes that may arise as well as giving advice.

The rules of golf are approved by the United States Golf Association and The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, Scotland. The latest version went into effect Jan. 1, 2004, with the next revision taking place Jan. 1, 2008.
