Form a VSGA Member Club

Golfers become a VSGA member by joining a Green Grass Club, forming a Recreational Golfers’ Club, clicking to Join a VSGA eClub or joining the VSGA Junior Golf Club.

VSGA Recreational Golfers’ Clubs Requirements

  • Any group of 10 or more people who share a passion for the game can form their own VSGA Recreational Golfers’ Club.
  • Each prospective new club must fill out an VSGA Recreational Club Application for Membership and return it to the VSGA office along with a signed copy of its Bylaws (sample bylaws), a club roster, as well as a check for $250, which represents annual club dues ($50) and fees ($20 per person) for the club’s first 10 members. Additional per member pricing of $20 per golfer per year applies.

VSGA eClubs

The VSGA has introduced an option in which all 2011 VSGA VIP cardholders who are not already members of a VSGA member club can join the VSGA.

With the launch of VSGA eClubs around the commonwealth, all golfers now have the opportunity to join the association and reap all of the benefits and services the association has to offer. Member benefits include obtaining a valid VSGA/USGA Handicap Index and the opportunity to play in VSGA championships or events.

The VSGA eClub membership fee is $97 and includes a 2011 Supporter Level VIP Card ($65 value).

VSGA eClubs reach out to golfers and VIP cardholders who are not already members of a VSGA Green-Grass Club or a VSGA Recreational Golfers’ Club.

The goal is to help make joining the VSGA as easy as possible.

As a VSGA eClub member, golfers have the opportunity to play in 100 VSGA One-Day events conducted throughout the commonwealth and receive the member rate of $55.  

VSGA eClub Requirements

  • Any individual who has a reasonable and regular opportunity to play golf with each other.
  • The residence or business address of each eClub member must generally be within a 50-mile radius of the principal location of the eClub.
  • The USGA will consider the playing requirement met if each member returns at least three scores played with other club members during the season, and at least one of those rounds is played in a club-sponsored event.
  • Payment of a VSGA eClub membership fee of $97 which includes a Supporter Level VSGA VIP Card ($65 value)
